My Brief Story
Brief Story:
My story is one of facial pain so severe that I was about to commit suicide.
I had extensive dental work done in 1986 at the age of 48 and experienced a pain that I was not aware even existed in the realm of human suffering. When the novacaine sedative began to wear off after the dental surgery, I felt an electric shock accross my lower jaw. The pain was really uncomfortable and then it stopped and started with infrequent intervals making the pain seem worse with each shock into my face.
This was to become my journey into the depths of hell with a pain known as Trigeminal Neuralgia. This pain is better known as the suicide disease. The pain is unbearable and there is no known cure in the medical world other than surgery. The surgeries offered are not 100 % effective. The surgery that was suggested to me after more than 10 years of on again off again pain, had a 20 % chance of success.
My wife Rhonda had read on the net that some TN patients had lost sight out of one eye, or the pain returned, or pain returned on the other side and they now had the pain on both sides, and on and on the stories went.
By the end of my ten years, I had lost the teeth on my right side of my mouth, trying to get rid of the pain. Drugs, acupuncture, Chinese herbs and tea, Chiropractors, and several different alternatives all proved futile.
As my 10th year began I found that the pain would not go away any longer. I began to live in our master bedroom and keep completely away from people, my family and just laid in bed praying for His help.
Two years later, now at the end of my rope, my wife heard about Upper Cervical Chiropractors and that there was one near our home in Oklahoma.
Dr Jennifer Sheppard is a NUCCA trained doctor and after three corrections on my C1 C2 my pain had broken up and I was on my way to 'No Pain'.

I must tell you that when your Atlas and Axis (C1C2) are in alignment, I am pain free.
