My Brief Story
Brief Story:
Patricia Edwards’ testimony as told to Susan Wikler
In 2003, Patricia Edwards began experiencing pain in her jaw, so she did what anyone would do: She went to the dentist where she was informed that her teeth were fine, so she was checked for TMJ syndrome. At that point, she learned that her problem was not TMJ syndrome. Patricia had Trigeminal Neuralgia.
Patricia was told she had a condition she just had to accept, something she simply (or not so simply) had to live with. Pain killers were prescribed, and she took them regularly feeling good about the fact that at least they were not physically addictive.
Four years later, Patricia had cataract surgery. When she went through the usual battery of questions for pre surgery profiling, she reported her use of medication for pain. Naturally, her doctor wanted to know more about her condition and when she shared the details of four years of pain and medication, he had her read What Time Tuesday?, the amazing story of James Tomasi’s recovery from a severe case of Trigeminal Neuralgia.
Patricia yearned for healing and was greatly inspired by James’ story. She called Dr. Cox, an upper cervical practitioner to receive treatment. As a result, she says her pain was immediately dulled and after a month, and only one treatment, it was gone and has not returned. Sometimes it whispers to her, she says, but she is pain free and off medication.
