My Brief Story
Brief Story:  On the above date I had an episode during dinner when I had a sudden sharp pain in my left temple that knocked me out of my chair and to the floor. Since I had been moving that day, and the weather was hot, I chalked it up to dehydration. I drank a gallon of water and felt better. The next day I went to work and developed the same symptoms. I was sent home and have been out of work since. I was originally diagnosed with cluster migraines.

A month later after being taken to the hospital for having another episode similar to the first. I was treated for a transient ischemic attack. After four days in the hospital the pain in my head did not abate and I had numbness on the left side of my face. I was referred to another neurologist; who made the current diagnosis and tried no less than a dozen medications with no affect.

She then said that it was symptoms of hysteria and that it was quote "psychological" and there was little to nothing more she can do. Now as I am in my fourth month of this pain my fiancee's grandfather told us about a chiropractor in the area that practices a new type of adjustment without the harsh manipulation common in traditional chiropractic medicine.

I went to an informational session and liked what I heard. Three days later I went for my first X-rays to discover that my atlas was out of alignment and causing my c-spine to be out of alignment by 9.7 degrees. So yesterday (11/21/08) I had my first adjustment.

My symptoms still remain but I have noticed remarkable improvements in my posture and believe it, or not, my breathing. My chiropractor, Dr. Stan Pierce said that it may take multiple adjustments for all my pain symptoms to clear but I do have to say that it is already better than any medicine I have taken and for the first time since July I think I will get better.
