My Brief Story
Brief Story:  I am 45 years old and, in hindsight, attribute my current situation to falling out of a tree at about 15 years old. I have been an ice hockey goaltender, ridden bulls, and lived an active lifestyle. I started seeing chiropractors at age 15 (initially it was more for the nutritionist viewpoint to try to alleviate a more than mild case of acne). As I progressed in age, my adjustments would relieve my lower back and neck of feeling "locked up". I have seen at least a dozen chiropractors over the last 30 years and even saw a Chiropractor who used "Entrainment" which seemed to be a bunch of hogwash. I've also had a chiropractor take readings from my back to determine which disks were emanating heat. I was playing for a semi=pro hockey team and finally had to "retire" because of the problem I had been experiencing in my hips (this was a new pain and was excruciating and felt like something was broken or ripped that held me together). I was lucky enough to recently move into a neighborhood in which my next door neighbor is a UpC Chiropractor so I naturally went to see him. I still felt that chiropractic was a better alternative than an MD which would have had me seek surgical solutions. He noticed that one leg was a half inch longer than the other (I knew this because two chiropractors in the past had me in a heel lift). The xrays showed my atlas out of whack and my head being 2" forward of correct alignment. This meant that instead of my head being a 10lb bowling ball it was equivalent to a 30lb bowling ball. My first UpC "adjustment" was 2 days ago. I barely felt it and when I got up to walk, for the first time that I can remember, I felt like I had balance. I didn't have to focus on walking a straight line. My legs were both equal length as well. I went in today for a checkup and my legs were still equal in length and my head was still on straight. I am looking forward to continued healing and unretiring my jersey.
